Trailblazers Wanted

The Village School's multi-step admissions process is designed to help you explore our learning model, then decide if we are the right school to serve the life-long learning needs for your child and your family. We recognize that we ask you to dedicate a significant amount of time and thought into the process. Families who are thriving in our community often share that they truly enjoyed the process, and we hope you do too.

2024-25 Admissions

We are still accepting applications for rising PreK-1st graders for the 24-25 school year. Interested in applying? Email our Admissions Team.

The application window for rising 2nd-8th graders is closed. If you are interested in applying for our waitlist to be alerted when a spot becomes available, please email Admissions.

Admissions Process

Step 1

Do your research. Before completing the application, thoroughly review our website to get a sense of who we are. Read “The One World Schoolhouse: Education Reimagined” by Salmon Khan and dive into other resources that have inspired our approach. Determine if our learning design is the right fit for your child and your family.

This is the most time-consuming step of our application process and the most important!

Step 2

Once your research is complete, submit your formal application. Our application form consists of written answers to questions in our online application, teacher recommendations, as well as two short videos that allow us to get to know your learner and for you to share your family’s story.

Step 3

We will invite qualified applicants to continue the admissions process. In this step, you will be asked to interview with current families and schedule a studio visit for your prospective learner.

Acceptance

Following the last steps in our application process, if we believe The Village School would be a good fit for your family, we will invite you to enroll. Congratulations!

Financial Assistance at The Village School

The Village School values a dynamic and socio-economically diverse school community; we are committed to providing financial aid to ensure that all students have an opportunity to benefit from a TVS education. The Village School Financial Aid Program is designed to assist families with financial need by covering costs associated with tuition.

The Village School’s Financial Aid Program is separate from the admissions review process. Financial aid awards are based solely upon demonstrated need and are determined annually. Our Admission Committee, without regard to financial aid applications, makes all admission decisions.

The Village School uses TADS (Tuition Aid Data Services) to process financial aid applications. TVS has chosen to use third party assistance in the Financial Aid Assessment process for two reasons: TADS provides strong support to families during the financial aid application process and the resulting Financial Aid Applications they send to the school are objective and accurate helping TVS to apply its limited resources fairly.
