Carrie Spence lives in Falls Church along with her husband and two dogs. She's helped coffee shops remodel, rebrand, and look fabulous; she even had a small gallery at Loaf Coffee near Capitol Hill in those glorious, pre-pandemic days. Carrie has sold work with Hen House D.C. at their Tiny Shows and various other art markets around the DMV. Her work has been displayed in The Phillips Collection and the Alliance Français de Washington D.C. Recently, she received first place for mixed media art at Brockport, NY during their 2022 summer arts festival.

As our Artist in Residence, Carrie leads weekly art provocations with our learners, giving them the opportunity to express their creativity in different mediums and formats.
