Jenny Thomas, aka Ms. Jenny, is passionate about getting kids engaged with the earth and sharing her love of the soil. She has forever loved the garden and her path to outdoor education began when her daughters attended a Reggio co-op preschool. She was inspired by the learning that happened when the kids were allowed to explore outside for hours. And she loved witnessing the curiosity, silliness, and glee that can only happen when kids are getting their hands dirty!

Since then, Jenny has used her experience in construction management and landscape design to help create and work in over 60 different outdoor learning spaces for students PK-12. She believes facilitating children's connection to the natural world will create more respectful and compassionate humans, ones with a direct understanding of our need for sustainability.

Jenny studied History as an undergraduate at JMU and is currently pursuing her MBA at Virginia Tech, Pamplin School of Business. In her free time Jenny enjoys a Sunday crossword puzzle, tinkering in her yard and traveling with her family.
